Family road trip to the Memphis Zoo!

So here I am ready for my big day at the Memphis Zoo! I've got my floppy hat, BabyBanz sunglasses and I'm all covered in SPF 40. By the way, the zoo there is extremely wonderful and sooo worth the drive, especially if Daddy drives and you can sleep all the way there. First, we I had to eat some oatmeal and pears to keep my energy up to see all the aminals.
Daddy ran into an old friend from UCA who took our picture for us.
I stayed in my stroller for a little while but I couldn't see anything. So I got to ride with Daddy most of the time.
Here is a panda eating some bamboo. I had fun watching him and I named him Panda.

More Zoo Pics...

Here we're taking a little break to eat some dippin' dots. They're the ice cream of the future, you know. The reason why I'm making that frowny face is because mommy is not shoveling the dippin' dots fast enough! Daddy thought we should have our picture made by this scary dragon. And then he made a dragon face too. I don't know what to think about him sometimes.
Here's me and Daddy in a big canoe. The water is so clear you can see right to the bottom! Okay so there was no water at all and the thing was bolted to the ground. But it was still fun.
This is me and Mommy during one of our breaks.

Riley Cate in disguise...

This is me being Marco Polo. You didn't even know that I was a famous old explorer, did you? Do you like my moustache? This is me being a panda. Gimme some bamboo, I'm a panda!
This is more of a cute panda thing I've got going on here. I like it 'cause you can still see my shades.

Today was a good day!

First of all, look at this great sky that God painted for us today!
So here I am in my shirt that First Community Bank gave me, and not just because Daddy works there. I'm a for real member of the Squirrels Club, which means that I've got my very own savings account! I asked Daddy for an ATM card but he hasn't answered me yet. I don't know how much money I have at the bank, but I'm pretty sure I could afford to buy my own island or a pony or a Barbie Jeep or at least some Funyons.
Mommy and Daddy got me this toy and it's the COOLEST! It's called an ExerSaucer. I can stand up in it and the seat spins around and it's got toys all the way around just for me! Here I was playing so fast that the camera couldn't even keep up with me. I was trying to play with all the toys at once and I got a little dizzy.

Look who was there too!

When we were hanging out in the shade, we ran into my friend Emmie. At first I was jealous because I thought she got to drive herself there, but it turns out her Mommy and Daddy were there too. Here's a picture of me tickling her. In this one she's trying to steal my earring. You can see in her face that she's trying to be all sneaky-like. But I just thought it was funny. We had a good time! Emmie got her pictures of us on her site first because Daddy is obsessive about getting the light "just right" and kept playing around in Photoshop. Daddy is silly.

My trip to Wye Mountain!

Saturday afternoon we all took a family field trip to Wye Mountain and it was nine kinds of fun. Okay, first of all nobody said that you couldn't eat the flowers. There was like this whole field of them, and they were pretty, and I was hungry, and well you know, things happen. You know I'm still just a kid, and when I was laying down I could barely see over the flowers, so I had to stand up to get a better look.
Then this dog came by. I don't remember her name. I think it was Dog. I tried to give her a hug and we were best good friends.
We stayed in the sun for a while, so we found some nice shade at the edge of the field and rested for a while.
Here is a picture of the whole place. I highly recommend putting it on your calendar for next year. I have every intention of being there myself!

My trip to Wye Mountain!

I think this is my most favorite of all the pictures Daddy took Saturday.

I am so big!

Look what I can do! I can sit up! So it's not exactly great posture, but hey I'm just a kid and I'm working on it. And I still love tummy time. This is me playing in my room yesterday afternoon.

I LOVE soft serve!

We all went out to Jason's Deli in Little Rock for dinner tonight. I think they named the place after Daddy but I'm not real sure on that one. What I do know is that they have this magic machine and when you pull the lever down, out comes ICE CREAM! And it's not the hard frozen kind you gotta eat with a spoon. No no no my friend. It's oozy yummy Riley Cate-friendly stuff. Here's me with my first bite. Basically for next 10 minutes or so the next table was laughing at me because I grunted and cried until I got my next bite, and the next bite, and the next bite.
I've got a nice soft-serve face going on here. I wonder if Daddy will get us one of those magic machines for the house...
