Fun at Garvan Gardens!

A couple weeks ago I got to go to Garvan Gardens. I'm not sure exactly who Garvan is, but he sure does have nice gardens, I tell you what. He has like a bujillion flowers and dogwood trees and azalelazlelas to look at. I tried to eat a rhododendron. Tastes like chicken. Daddy says it's probably the closest he'll ever be to seeing what the golf course at Augusta looks like. Speaking of, I learned a new phrase this week while watching golf with Daddy! When you're watching golf and Mr. Tiger Woods tees off, you're supposed shout at the tv and say "GET IN THE HOLE!" But when you're only 18 months old like me, sometimes it just comes out like "SHME SHE HOLE!" But I think they can hear me and they know what I mean.

Fun in the Park!

Before we could go to the park, we had to wait for all the RAIN to stop already! It rained here, then it rained some more, and then it kept raining. I saw squirrels lining up two by two out by the road, whatever that means. This was our backyard after one afternoon storm.
But we finally got to go to the park here in town! Here's me and Mommy climbing through the tube.
Here I am at the bottom of the slide. I can slide all by myself now!
Mommy still likes to help me some though.
I can always make time to play with rocks and stuff.
Daddy saw some flowers, so we had to stop for a quick photo op.

After-Dinner Fun!

I ate dinner in just my diaper, on account of how I sometimes tend to maybe get a little food in my hair and behind my ears and stuff. Anyway, I found this Razorback shirt of mine and thought it would make a nice pair of pants. It was kinda hard to walk in them, and I think I've gone and stretched out the neck hole. It wasn't the best decision, but Mommy and Daddy thought it was funny. There's always music playing at our house, and Daddy is always asking me to dance with him. Most of the time I just humor him and go along.
But I LOVE IT when Daddy dips me!
Apparently somebody squirreled up on top on the dining room table, which is definitely NOT allowed in our house. I tried to tell Mommy and Daddy that it was Cheney's footprint, but then Daddy went all CSI and got out the camera and compared the picture to my feet. And somehow Daddy came to the misguided conclusion that it was ME! I've been framed. Next time I'll know to wear socks when I get on top of the table.

Table Manners...

Mommy and Daddy are always trying to teach me how to eat with a spoon and a fork, you know, like a big girl. And I sometimes use utensils, but mostly I just hold the thing in one hand and eat with the other. But tonight after dinner I was playing in the kitchen and found these. I think they work much better. I'm all about efficiency. I make up words to shorten my speech, and I use super-sized utensils to really shovel in the food! And an Uncle Rich smile, just for kicks.

My new favorite seat!

I've always loved playing with the pots and pans, but who knew that I would actually fit in this one?

Is that in the dictionary?

This is Riley Cate's Daddy, here to tell you about Riley Cate's new word. The kid is showing great potential with her vocabulary. Why would you use two words when you could just make up one new one? Riley Cate knows the words "more" and "milk" and she has been using them for some time. Now it seems that she has combined the two. Several times over the past week she has held up an empty sippy cup and said, "MOAK". It makes no sense, until you break the word down and think like a 17 month old. If you think about it, mo' + milk = moak!
