Mommy's Party!

Daddy threw Mommy a surprise birthday party! She's turning 30 tomorow so Daddy called a few of our friends to come eat cake. I slept through most of it, but it looks like they had a really good time. This is Mommy with Janice and Morgan from church. These are Mommy's friends. They came all the way from Little Rock. And that's Krista on the phone. She lives in Chicago, but she still wanted to be part of the party.
Here's Mommy with her cake. As you can see, Daddy had them put "Happy 29th" on it instead of 30th. Daddy is funny.
Here's me the next day with some of the balloons. I like balloons.

My day with Aunt Cassandra!

The other day Mommy went to work at Children's and I got to go spend the day with her friend Cassandra. I had fun the whole day. She even let me hold my own spoon! I felt like such a big girl. As you can see, my aim isn't too good yet, but I'm working on it.
Everything was going fine until she made me take my picture in front of this flag. I thought it was a nice Arkansas Razorback flag, becasue it was red. She knew I wouldn't notice the difference because I can't read yet. I should have known when I saw that silly elephant. Everybody knows they don't even have elephants in Alabama anyway.

Prednisone is evil!

Okay so when I went to the doctor they gave me a week's worth of this stuff called prednisone it's a steroid and it made my cough better but it's tough on a little girl somebody said it had side effects, but here's what it did to me I haven't slept since Sunday I'm like a kid superhero able to leap over naps with one giant crying fit I can run faster than Cheney I took out the trash this morning and changed all the lightbulbs in the house even the ones that weren't burned out I stayed up all night and watched an infomercial and ordered a Troy-Bilt chipper vac and a food dehydrator to make my own jerky then I watched a biography of George Washington Carver on the History Channel then I helped Daddy chop some firewood and pushed mommy around the block in the stroller did I mention I don't sleep any more?

Pray for Mommy.

I got flowers!

I hadn't said anything before, but I was a sick kid this weekend. I had a cough most of last week and Saturday night it turned into full blown bronchitis. So I spent all Sunday afternoon in the emergency clinic. I'm feeling better now, and look at what I got! These are from my boyfriend Hudson who lives in DeQueen. He is my favorite and my best. Our families go way back. We have a long-distance relationship, but it works for us right now. The flowers and the bear helped me feel much better. Thanks Hudson!

Weekend in DeQueen!

This was really at home before we left for DeQueen. This is my new Johnny Jump Up and it's tons of fun. I can turn circles, jump, kick at Cheney and see what's going on in the kitchen. Here I am with two of my most favorite and best things in the world: cow and Papa Joe.
Silly Papa Joe kept giving me neck sugars and it was cracking me up.

Enough already just take the picture...

Believe it or not, I was actually awake when all of this started. Daddy was working with some new camera stuff and just had to take pictures of me. So Mommy got me all dressed up in this outfit and by the time everything was ready I was just wore out. But do you think Daddy cared? Nope. He just kept right on taking pictures. Oh well. As you can see it really didn't bother me too much.

I was

My four month doctor visit...

Okay, so today it was time for me to go see my Doctor Ben for my four month visit. I was kinda nervous, so Daddy was giving me a little pep talk. Since Mommy works at the kid's hospital, she knows all about distraction. Cow came along for moral support, and he helped distract me by letting me chew on his face. Cow is a good friend through thick and thin. I was kinda nervous at first, but everything turned out just fine. I'm in the 75th percentile for my height and the 50th for my weight. Maybe that means I'll be tall and thin. Daddy says that I'm in the 100th percentile for the size of my eyes. This is me and my Doctor Ben when we got all finished.

I'm the green giant!

My favorite and my best thing that my Doctor Ben said today was that I could start eating real food instead of just formula formula formula. So Mommy took me to the store on the way home and we picked out some groceries for dinner tonight. I wanted a New York strip, french fries with honey mustard and chocolate cake for dessert. But we compromised and settled on green beans instead. At first I wasn't sure what to think... But I got the hang of it pretty fast!
I take BIG bites of beans!
Okay, so my aim is not so good quite yet. But this was my first time to eat, so you can't be too hard on me.

Did you know...

So I went down to Texarkana this week because my little cousin Ben finally decided to get born. And then I come home and I found this Chihuahua at my house! Did you know that I had a Chihuahua? They tell me her name is Cheney and that she's lived here for years, but you couldn't prove it by me. I think she's new here. Anyway, we had a good time. I played with her ears for a long time and then talked to her. I think we're gonna be good friends.

My weekend.

Mommy and Daddy went to the Razorback game in Fayetteville this weekend. This is Daddy in the middle with the blue hat. He gets crazy at basketball games and the crowd just loves it. Just kiddin. Granna and Papa Joe drove up to stay with me while they were gone. I guess they didn't think me and Cheney could stay at home by ourselves just yet. But we all had tons of fun!

This is Mommy in front of Bud Walton's arena where they bought me my very own prize! I think she felt guilty for leaving me and having so much fun up there. This is me with my prize all the way from Fayetteville. His name is hog.

It's snowing!

Daddy took me outside when I first woke up so I could see the snow before it got all melty. It was nine kinds of cold so I went right back inside to drink my breakfast.
Daddy stayed outside and took some pictures. I titled this one "snow in the trees".
I titled this one "more snow in the trees."

Baby it's cold outside...

It's been all shivery cold here for the past few days. It all started Wednesday night when this white stuff started falling from the sky. It was really pretty. This is the flag that hangs on our front porch. I don't really know what the flag stands for, but sometimes when daddy gets through watching a football game he starts crying and takes the flag down for a week or so. Daddy is funny. I think I'll like playing outside in the white stuff next year, but this is more my speed for now, just hanging out on a puffy blanket in my room.

New on Discovery Channel: When Riley Cates attack!

So here's the deal. I was playing in my new gym I got for Christmas, and I saw pig looking at me funny. I couldn't just sit there and let him get away with it. I had to show him who was in charge. I think you get the idea. I don't expect to have any more problems from pig now that he knows how things work around here. I've got two teeth and I'm not afraid to use them.
