The Beat Goes On...

12 1/2 weeks!

The whole family (well, Mom, Dad and me) went to see Dr. Thompson again yesterday. They gave me a mic (my first karaoke!) and let me show off my heartbeat and Dr. Thompson said that I sound really good! American Idol, here I come!

Dr. Thompson also told Mom and Dad that they'd try to see if I'm a boy or a girl next month (April 26 at 9:30...so tune in!), but I haven't decided if I'm going to pose for them or not!

One thing that I have to tell you is that my mom is a NUT! She asked that man about a go-zillion questions. Mom! He's got other babies to see!

Last night, Mom and Dad read my first book to me, I guess that was my prize for being so good at the doctor's office. It was If You Give a Pig a Pancake. It was good, but I had a hard time seeing the pictures.

Well, gotta go now. I'm working on my new trick of giving mom indigestion!

11 1/2 weeks!

Let Us Eat Cake!

Well, last week was a big week for us Carlton's. I'm officially a FETUS! I have no idea what that means, but Mom and Dad thought it was big enough to make (and decorate) a cake over. Whatever makes em happy, I guess. Anyway, thought you all might like to see it...complete with Mom's portrait of me :o)

Tell the World!

I have been such a busy baby! I went to the doctor a week ago to have my first professional portrait done. I'm so stinking cute...and I made BOTH my parents cry when they saw my heart beat. I don't think they're going to be too hard to please, honestly. We like Dr. Thompson, he says I'm looking really good. OH, and Momma always knows. She was right about how old I am. When we went to the doc I was 8 1/2 weeks instead of 9 1/2.

On Friday, we went to Texarkana (like I had any choice) to tell all of my grandparents, my great grandparents and my aunt and uncle about ME! We tricked everybody because they all thought we were coming home for Mom's birthday! I was nice and didn't make her lose all her roast beef birthday dinner.
Most of them cried, of course. One of them screamed in public, but I won't name names (Gammy). Oh, and then Mom and Dad thought they had to do a song and dance to tell my Carlton aunt and uncle. I'm still dizzy...and a little embarrassed.
I think life is gonna be real good in this family.

We even got my stroller Saturday, but I gotta wait a long time to ride in it...unless I can talk Mommy into climbing in and letting Daddy push her around the block.
