Reading with Nana!

Nana came up and stayed with us this weekend. Nana loves to read to me. This book was one of mommy's when she was my age, and Nana used to read it to her. The central and only character in the book is Grover, who is scared of the monster at the end of the book, who turns out to be himself. Because of Grover, my grasp of irony is superb. But in the end everything works out for Grover. Whew. I was a little scared too, Grover.

I just love Grover!! My favorite book of all time. When I was a nanny we read that book all the time. We even made up games about finding the "monster" in other places and taking turns being the "monster"!
