My toofies!

Daddy is finally getting around to showing off pictures of my new teeth. A couple of weeks ago my mouth started hurting a lot. I fussed for a couple days and kept mommy up a night or two, and then out popped these two chompers! Every night at bedtime mommy brushes them with some yummy toothpaste that's made just for kids like me. I still can't eat real food, even though I have two teeth. Life is so not fair. This was last night right before my bedtime. I already have on my sleep sack. Daddy built a nice big fire when he got home from work and mommy read me two of my new Dr. Seuss books. One of them was about some guy named Horton who heard something. I'm not sure what the other one was about because I was kinda sleepy.

Nap time...

I'm a very busy girl these days, but sometimes I do so much that I get so tired and I just gotta take a nap. This time I just laid out right on the floor. A girl can only read so many books and watch the Einsteins without having to get some sleep.
Life is so hard. My Denise Hipskind got me this cool bunny shirt. I like bunnies. I like naps. I like Denise too.

Tummy time!

I've been spending a lot of time on my tummy these days. I was hanging out in my room with mommy the other day and she took these pictures of me. This is one of my friends. His name is bear. He's a bear. He just said his first words, so that's why I was making this face.

I talk to mommy all the time now. I don't really remember what I was saying right here in these pictures, but from the looks of it she liked it. Usually I tell her that I love her and ask her when the Einsteins are coming on again.

My favorite toy.

This is pretty much what I did all weekend. This is my favorite toy. His name is cow. He's just the right size and I like all the colors on him. I also watched a little football with daddy. We went to Colton's Sunday night after church and people thought it was funny that I was straining to see the Colts game on the TV in the corner. Some other team was playing too, but all I know is that the Colts won.

Daddy was working on the computer and Mommy decided that he needed some help. I had to have some help getting up there, but it was really fun hanging out on Daddy's shoulders. When I get just a little bigger I'm going to hang out up there all the time. I felt really tall!

Daddy is always working on his photography, and of course I'm always ready to model. Daddy got the images and then mommy did some digital magic with them. We have SO much fun at our house!

Reading with Nana!

Nana came up and stayed with us this weekend. Nana loves to read to me. This book was one of mommy's when she was my age, and Nana used to read it to her. The central and only character in the book is Grover, who is scared of the monster at the end of the book, who turns out to be himself. Because of Grover, my grasp of irony is superb. But in the end everything works out for Grover. Whew. I was a little scared too, Grover.

My first swim!

I went to Branson with mommy and my Amelia and we had tons of fun. We shopped around a lot and went to some really cool places. We went to this place called Lambert's where they throw rolls. I was a little scared because the flying rolls were really hot and about the size of my head. But the grownups were having a big time with them. I think next year I'll be ready to catch one and eat it all by myself. Then mommy took me swimming for a whole hour and I loved it!

Helping around the house...

I figure that since I'm growing up and all that I should start taking care of more things around the house. Here is my first shot at doing laundry. But as you can see from the picture, it's a little overwhelming so I decided to just roll around in the nice warm clothes. Maybe I need to get a little bigger first. Who wears argyle socks anymore anyway? And mommy wants to know if anybody has seen the other one.

Watching football with Daddy...

Me and Daddy decided to spend a little father-daughter time together and watch the Orange Bowl. I'm not really sure who was playing or why they call it that, but I know that it was football and one team was wearing red. Football seems like a complicated game, but Daddy explained it all so I could understand it. After the game, Daddy took me for a walk around the house, and I met the cutest kid in the front of the armoire thing. I talked to her for a long time and we have SO much in common. It's like we're twins or something!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This was my first New Year's Eve, so I really didn't know what to expect. We went to a wedding in Little Rock, then went and got some dessert and ended up back at my Amelia's house to watch the ball drop on the TV. It was real big fun, but by midnight I was starting to get a little tired.

Florida Friends!

My Hipskind friends came all the way from Florida just to see me! Okay, well maybe they came to see Shawn and Denise who also live in Arkansas, but I think mostly they came to see me. And they brought Minnie Mouse with them, just for me! You can't really tell, but she's a ballerina, just like I'll be one day when I grow up. Then I got Aunt Denise to pose for a picturewith me . We had a big time!
