Cate thought she HAD to eat some of the egg. You know how hard it is to talk a 2.5 year old out of anything, so we let her try it. She was not crazy about it. Actually she positively hated it.
But she got a kiss frm Mommy and everything was okay again.
Despite the way this picture looks, Cate did not take a drink right after this was taken. Papa Joe supervised MiaBess during the egg part. Then we went outside for our big egg hunt. Cate's basket was almost as big as she is.
She was really proud of this one!
She's a good big sister... she shared her find with MiaBess.
The Carlton's on Easter. I think we all held up fairly well after the week we had, plus the rainy morning that day! ...Oh, and I'm not sure if you know, but this is how the classic Easter song goes, according to Riley Cate: "Here comes Peter Carlton-tail, Hoppin Down the Bunny Trail..."
Several of you all have asked how our Disney trip and performance went a few weeks ago...here's a pic of the girls after the performance; and you can see all of our fun at http://www.dqdw.blogspot.com/ as well as all but one of the routines they performed (had a technical difficulty with the camera during the twirling routine. Oops!)
Just a little while ago, I tucked Cate into bed and we said our night night prayers. She prayed, "Thank you for helping cakey not be scared of monsters, thank you for helping miabess roll over, for helping momma clean house and for helping me go to the doctor and for helping papa catching cats."
We've lived her for almost two years and I realized that we never posted a picture of our "new" house! Jason took this the other day so I thought I'd share. We looooove living here and adore living in DeQueen in general! P.S. The room on the left is a guest room that you are all welcome to use any time you want!!
