Hudson's Birthday Party

This is Riley Cate's good buddy Hudson (see Feb 07 blog for the teddy bear and flowers he sent her one Valentine's Day!). He just turned three and had a cute Cars birthday party. Riley Cate had an absolute blast. This was her first non-family birthday party and she did so good!

She LOVED the cupcakes and chips, but she REALLY loved this bounce house in the front yard!

She was the only girl who didn't end up crying after getting knocked down by one of the boys! That's my tough girly girl!
Anyway, Happy Birthday, Hudson! We're so glad you're feeling better!

Amanda Martin and Rhonda Nanney got Mia Beth and Riley Cate these precious shirts; then Mamee bought them the outfits. It all works so well together! Here they both are! Coordinating outfits make me happier than they probably should!

Ok...are you ready? This is what Riley Cate came into the kitchen wearing the other night. That's a Santa Claus hat, a pj shirt, a tutu, her regular shirt, a pull-up with a bikini bottom and one leg warmer.

Then she taunted Mia Beth with her dinner.

Mia Beth and Her Cereal!

Well, Mia Beth was officially four months old on the second of February, so I decided it was time to try some cereal. It didn't go completely smoothly, but she made a good effort! This is her later on, just chillin with some tummy time!

And here's Riley Cate and Mia Beth watching either Imagination Movers or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! I hope they are always this sweet with each other!

Sunday at the Carlton Home

Momma again: I just loved what the girls wore to church last week so I had to share! Mia Beth's outfit was a gift from Beta Sigma Phi sister Sally Hennard. It is absolutely adorable! Wow, her feet look huge in this picture. They're not really that big!
And I LOVED this outfit on Riley Cate. If animal print ever goes out of style, I don't know what I'll do.

Mommy Stuff

Riley Cate is so precious. I love this age. The other morning she came and got in bed with me and handed me one side of her blankie and said, "We both have it." Later, she did the same with Mia Beth and said, "I sharin my bankie with Mia Bess." Jason told me later that he'd been working with her on this, so...good job, J!

We're potty training right now and she gets so excited. She finally did a poo-potty so we had a slumber party with her princess sleeping bag and pillow and watched "Maria" aka "The Sound of Music". I love having girls!!

One day last week we went to the park for a picnic and she took her Snow White doll with her (side note: all princesses together are Cinderellas, but each one has her own name...most of the time). There are two side by side slides at the park and she'd go down one and make Snow White go down the other one. Then she'd meet Snow White at the bottom of the slide and say, "Good job, Cinderella!!"

Mia Beth is growing sooooo fast! She is 25" and 16 pounds...only 10 pounds less than Riley Cate! If you look at her at all, she breaks into a huge grin. She is almost always happy and laid back. She cut two teeth with only about a half hour of fussiness the night before the first one came in. And she has the funniest little belly laugh...she is just precious!

I am often overwhelmed by how many blessings I have. I'm so thankful for Jason, who is absolutely the BEST husband in the world; and I don't know what we did before we had our two baby girls. My cup overfloweth.

Our Day at ACH!

Lots of people sponsored Daddy's run in the WDW Marathon by donating money to Arkansas Children's Hospital. Mommy and Aunt Jennifer worked here for a long time and Uncle David still works there...and so does cousin Jeff! The good people of DeQueen donated more than $3000 to the hospital. Thanks, everyone! After we gave over the big check, we went to see some of Mommy's friends from her old Child Life department. That's her and Mrs. Leslie givin' smooches. They used to be roomies in their little cubicle in the basement and they became the bestest of friends and they laughed and laughed all the time!

This is me with Lola the medical teaching doll. See that tube in her nose? We took this picture for Aunt Krista who was a good pal to Lola when she worked in Child Life.
And here's Mia Beth with Mommy's former boss, Glorianne! We thought we were gonna have to leave Mia Beth with her because they loved each other so much!

After all that, we were gonna go do some crafts in Little Rock, but I was sooooo tired. I ended up just proppin' my sunglasses on my nose and drifin' off to seepie town.

Well, here's Mia Beth looking cute with Papa Joe. My sister is getting so big!

I love her soooo much! Oh! See my tattoos? I got those for going to the potty! Yay ME!

I even got her a little snack of Ramen noodles the other day and showed her how to put her napkin on her lap like a princess.

That same night, I entertained everyone with my tap dancing skills...Oh the amazement for the talent of one so young!
